Memorial University says all classes—both online and in-person—will be suspended as of the end of today.
Initially, classes were planned to be suspended on Wednesday, however the University decided to move the timeline forward due to new information surrounding COVID-19.
Remote delivery of classes remains scheduled to return on Monday, March 23, as was originally announced.
All Memorial University libraries will close at 5 p.m. today. They will re-open as scheduled tomorrow, but then close indefinitely as of 5 p.m. for all users.
Meanwhile, all students from Newfoundland living in residence are required to vacate by the end of Friday. MUN says those living in Labrador or elsewhere in Canada should make “every effort” to adjust travel plans to return home.
