Parks Canada is limiting operations at locations across the country to limit potential for the spread of COVID-19.
As of Thursday, March 19, all visitor services will be suspended in all national parks, historic sites and marine conservation areas.
All facilities will be closed temporarily, including washrooms and day-use facilities.
Front country and back-country areas are still able to be used, but Parks Canada is cautioning visitors to use extra caution as search and rescue services may be limited.
Meanwhile, Parks Canada is limiting its activities to basic critical operations, such as highway management, snow removal, and fire response.
