Amid all the chaos, the Gulf ferries are shutting down for the next three days. High winds are in the offing and with current protocols for COVID-19, Marine Atlantic will all but cease operations following tonight’s crossings.
The company says based upon current forecast models, they expect to resume crossings Sunday evening.
Customers impacted will be re-booked on later crossings.
Updated reservations will be provided based on their maximum passenger limit of 250 per sailing implemented earlier this week. The MV Leif Ericson will enter service following the weather disruption to provide additional sailings to help move traffic.
Most of our goods arrive via Marine Atlantic.
