Newfoundland and Labrador now has six cases of COVID-19.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald provided the update late yesterday afternoon.
The provincial government yesterday confirmed two more presumptive cases, one in Eastern Newfoundland involving a woman who returned from the US, and one in Central, a woman who returned from a cruise.
On Friday, a man in the Eastern Health region tested presumptive positive for COVID-19 after returning to the province from Spain.
A total of 901 people have been tested with 895 confirmed negative. There are 332 people in isolation.
Anyone who has been out of province has to self isolate upon their return, however Premier Dwight Ball has clarified the exemption list. Some truckers will have to self isolate while others do not.
He says tractor trailers coming in with a load of ATVs or recreational items for instance would not be considered essential, therefore those drivers would be required to self isolate.
