The effects of closures relating to the Coronavirus pandemic are being felt across numerous business sectors, and the skilled trades are no different.
Several big projects are ramping down operations, such as Muskrat Falls and Voisey’s Bay.
While that is concerning for the immediate future, Trades NL Executive Director Darrin King believes it could mean an increase in work in the pandemic’s aftermath.
King admits the current trend is concerning, but rebuilding the economy will involve construction work in some form so he thinks there will activity for his members to get back to work in the short term.
