A fire on the third floor of the Stephenville Correctional Institute Friday night was deliberately set.
Justice Minister Andrew Parsons says staff and the local fire department acted quickly to extinguish the blaze which broke out around 9:00 p.m..
There were no injuries, and all inmates are accounted for.
The third floor of the facility is now closed as the RCMP investigate. Some displaced inmates have been transferred to Corner Brook.
