Marine Atlantic is resuming crossings on the Gulf today after weather conditions forced the cancellation of some weekend trips.
The terminal buildings were closed on the weekend to prevent large numbers of people waiting to board the ferries from gathering.
Customers are being rebooked with a passenger limit of 250 per trip to allow social distancing.
Customers are not allowed to enter the terminal more than four hours prior to their crossing.
That means there will not be any large gatherings at the terminal building prior to crossings according to Marine Atlantic.
All ferry passengers are being screened prior to boarding and isolation areas have been established. Social distancing measures are also in place.
