Loblaws is hiring during what the company calls “these unprecedented times” in the retail industry.
Loblaws operates Dominion stores in Newfoundland and Labrador as well as Shoppers Drug Mart, NoFrills, and Atlantic Superstore.
Human Resources head for Loblaws and Shoppers Drugs Mart, Mark Wilson says their supply chain is strong, and they know people are relying on them to keep their stores open.
They also want an opportunity to give their current team a break, and are hiring a full team in stores and distribution centres to keep things running smoothly.
A website has been set up to recruit temporary workers to help.
