Four employees of DFO and the Canadian Coast Guard are in self-isolation after they, or a family member, recently visited Caul’s Funeral Home.
Because of that, they’ve been advised they may have come into contact with COVID-19.
All four are following the direction of public health authorities. The Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Centre in the White Hills and Canadian Coast Guard Headquarters on the South Side are undergoing sanitation.
The DFO building was closed Monday and Tuesday as a result.
DFO says building access procedures are being “strengthened.”
The Department of Fisheries and Oceans is unable to provide further information on the cases due to privacy reasons.
