Batten down the hatches—a storm is on its way, and it’s bringing up to 15-25 cm for most of the Avalon and east coast.
The snow has been making its way across the island throughout the day and will develop in the metro region by early evening.
David Neil with Environment Canada’s weather office in Gander says the heaviest precipitation will be this evening—whipped up by strong winds.
He says the winds will increase along with heavy snowfall, making it nasty for most of the night.
