The days of going to work with the sniffles are over. That’s the declaration from chief medical officer Dr. Janice Fitzgerald.
Every available communicable disease control and public health nurse in the Eastern Health region is being tasked with contact tracing.
Dr. Fitzgerald, says contact tracing can become quite complicated. Anyone who is “under the weather” should stay home.
The number of cases nearly doubled yesterday to 67. Most are in the eastern region and connected to funerals or wakes at Caul’s.
The age range of people who have tested positive goes from eight to 78.
She doesn’t have the exact number, but a couple hundred people are working on contact tracing.
