The province has 15 new positive cases of COVID-19 – all in the Eastern Health region.
That brings the total number of cases in Newfoundland and Labrador to 82. To date there are 76 in the Eastern Health region, two in Central Health, one in Western Health and three in the Labrador-Grenfell Health region.

Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Janice Fitzgerald says the province now has the ability to confirm positive cases at the provincial public health laboratory.
Those affected range in age from 8 to 80 with a median age of 55. Dr. Fitzgerald broke down the numbers this afternoon.
They include:
- seven under the age of 19
- nine between the ages of 20 and 39
- 12 between 40 and 49
- 21 between 50 and 59
- 15 between 60 and 69
- 18 over the age of 70
1,491 people have been tested to date, 1,409 of whom are negative.
