A 19-year-old man from Aspen Cove is facing drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop by Gander RCMP.

The man was pulled over on Cooper Boulevard in Gander on Thursday afternoon.

A quantity of cocaine, crack cocaine and ecstasy was seized from the vehicle and the driver was charged with two counts of drug trafficking.

A passenger in the vehicle, arrested the same time, was released without charge.

The accused has been released to appear in court at a later date.
