The province’s health minister says if there was a breach of Dr. Janice Fitzgerald’s orders under the Public Health Emergency Act at Costco on Saturday, charges will be laid.

Rumours were flying on social media yesterday suggesting a person with a confirmed case of COVID-19 had been out shopping at Costco.

Haggie says the department is aware of the posts and they will do their best to investigate with the information they have.

He says both public health and the RNC are actively engaged.

The RNC says they are currently investigating using information provided via the online report form.
