The city of St. John’s wants you to make some noise to show appreciation to those providing essential services during this time of social distancing and self-isolation.
A virtual celebration is planned for this evening through the city’s Facebook and twitter accounts.
Even boats in the harbour are taking part by sounding their horns at 7:00 tonight.

Mayor Danny Breen says residents can show their appreciation by putting messages and pictures up in their windows, stringing up lights, or by shouting or singing from their front step.
Other municipalities including the City of Mount Pearl and Paradise have also asked residents to join in on the celebration to show their support for essential workers.
The event gets underway at 7:00 p.m..
