Newfoundland Power crews were kept busy this morning as they set out to repair a series of power outages in areas across the Northeast Avalon.
Ice buildup on power lines has caused a series of issues, knocking out electricity to thousands of customers from St. John’s to Flatrock and as far as Bell Island.
Reports to VOCM News indicate that a line was also downed near the Trans-Canada Highway by Paddy’s Pond. Some people reported losing power to their homes as early as 3 a.m.
