DFO has delayed the official opening of the snow crab season.

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans says while the management approach for the 2020 season has not been finalized, the fishery will not open before April 20.

A decision on the fishing season is expected in the near future.

FFAW President Keith Sullivan is discussing the situation with the federal fisheries minister today.
