There are only four outstanding issues related to COVID-19 under investigation by the RNC or RCMP, according to the province’s health minister.
John Haggie says he was asked by those police bodies to emphasize to the public that 911 should not be used for reporting issues around COVID-19 compliance.
He says 911 is there for a different purpose. The forms are online and Haggie says there is an active response team from both the RNC and RCMP to deal with these issues, and there’s been minimal delay in getting them addressed.
Meanwhile, the Health Minister claims the province is not yet into its “surge period” of COVID-19.
He says this is likely to arrive in the coming weeks, and they’re working hard to understand when exactly that surge period might be.
Haggie reminds people that this is a marathon, not a sprint.
