There was no broadcast from the provincial government on today’s COVID-19 update, but officials have released the latest numbers.
Three new cases, all in the Eastern Health region, have been confirmed since yesterday’s update, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 239.
There are 224 cases in the Eastern Health region, eight in Central, one in the Western Health region and six in the Labrador-Grenfell Health region.
Seven people are in hospital, two are in intensive care. As of today, 103 people have recovered.
The province has completed 4,520 tests.
Yesterday, the province confirmed its third death linked to the illness, a 65-year-old man from the Avondale area.
The province is taking a break from its daily updates for the long Easter holiday weekend to give participants a rest.
The daily updates will return on Monday, but the province will release the daily numbers each day around 2:00.
