RNC and RCMP are poised this long holiday weekend to enforce public health directives to self-isolate and exercise social distancing.
The greatest fear among public health officials is that people will relax and not adhere to restrictions in place to halt the spread of COVID-19.
Health Minister John Haggie this week warned that what we do this weekend will impact what COVID-19 numbers will look like in two weeks’ time.

75 per cent of all known COVID-19 cases in this province can be linked to a single event at Caul’s Funeral home.
Haggie says your next cabin party could be the next funeral home cluster.
While police, who are stepping up patrols, prefer an educational approach, Haggie says they are prepared to issue tickets and fines.
Those fines could be up to $500 for an individual or $5000 for a business per day.
