The provincial government has confirmed that there has been a change at the top in the Public Prosecutions division of the Department of Justice and Public Safety. Ian Hollett is no longer the director of Public Prosecutions.
In his capacity as assistant director, Lloyd Strickland assumes the duties of director.
The justice department assures that the office is operating without disruption.
The department also says Crown Attorneys have been exceptionally resilient and have adapted to the changes in the court system over the last month.
