A 92-year-old woman who tested positive for COVID-19 a couple of weeks ago has recovered and is now back home. Rita Hickey had no underlying health issues, but her family was terrified after she tested positive. She did not go to hospital, and instead recovered at home.

Daughter Agatha Hickey posted on Facebook that while it was a tearful 14 days, her smile is back and she has proven once again to be the strong courageous woman they all know her to be.

Sporting a pink shirt to mark her recovery, Rita Hickey embraces the occasion with a bottle of rum in one hand and a container of Lysol wipes in the other.
