The province has a new Acting Superintendent of Prisons.
Justice Minister Andrew Parsons has named former High Sheriff, Daniel Chafe, to the role.
Chafe replaces Don Roche, who is retiring after more than 30 years working in NL corrections. Roche’s last day in the role is on April 30, which Chafe officially takes over on May 1.
The Superintendent of Prisons is responsible for adult corrections at five correctional facilities and two lockups.
