A Harbour Grace resident was lucky to have the neighbours they did when their house caught fire Saturday evening.

Shortly after 4 p.m. on Saturday, Harbour Grace Volunteer Fire Brigade responded to a structure fire with a person trapped inside.

The first crew to arrive found heavy smoke and fire coming from the single story residence. They also noticed a rescue mission happening under a bedroom window.

Neighbors and other residents were helping the person from the dwelling.

There were no injuries.
