RCMP are examining 16 crime scenes in trying to determine the exact number of victims of a violent rampage in Nova Scotia that has claimed at least 19 lives.
The RCMP’s officer responsible for Criminal Operations in Nova Scotia, Superintendent Chris Leather told reporters yesterday that five of the scenes being investigated involve structure fires.
He says as those scenes—most of which involve homes which were destroyed—are investigated and processed, they expect the total number of victims to rise.
One person, a 51-year-old man, is believed responsible for the carnage. He was killed in a confrontation with police at a Big Stop in Enfield on Sunday, not far from Stanfield International Airport.
