A man who contracted COVID-19 and recovered says if he could sum up his experience in one word, it would be “thankful.”
Bill Woolridge picked up the virus after the March 12 passing of his brother-in-law, Edward Tobin. His wife, who stayed with him throughout never picked up the virus.
Twenty-five members of his family were diagnosed in the end.
Two friends who paid their respects to the family also tested positive, one of whom was hospitalized for five days.
Woolridge says while going through it, the situation was a very concerning and trying time.
He says dealing with their own issues around the passing of his brother-in-law, as well as being concerned about family members was tough. But, they’re glad to be through it. Everyone in the family recovered and is doing well.
Woolridge warns that the virus is not a hoax, and says his family is happy to be on the other side.
Woolridge is very thankful for the recovery of family members and friends.
