The province has only had one new case of COVID-19 in the last eight days, but that doesn’t mean we can ease up on social distancing.
That’s according to the province’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Janice Fitzgerald.
Dr. Fitzgerald says although interacting with one individual may seem minor, you’re not only interacting with them but with all the people they’ve been in contact with as well.

She says it may seem like it’s not a dangerous thing to do but be we don’t know that at this time so the safest bet is to still remain in your bubble.
She reminds the public there is an incubation period of up to 14 days where people can not present symptoms and still transfer the virus.
