Handling equipment is scheduled to arrive at the Port of Corner Brook tomorrow on a cargo ship.
The equipment, including a mobile crane, three reach stackers, and three shunter vehicles, will be aboard the BBC Austria.
Offloading of the equipment is set for Monday morning at 8 a.m..
CEO of Corner Brook Port Corporation Jackie Chow says the arrival of the equipment marks a significant milestone in laying the groundwork for the future of their port.
The equipment was covered by an investment of $5.5 million dollars approved under the Transport Canada’s National Trade Corridors Fund last summer.
