RCMP have received over 1,100 reports of suspected public health violations through the province’s online reporting tool – with no charges laid.
The RCMP has a team dedicated to the investigation of reports of violations of the restrictions in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Team lead, Sergeant Major Doug Pack says while education is their first approach, and they are seeing what he calls “great cooperation.”
Most reports received by RCMP have been resolved through voluntary compliance.
He says of the 1,100 reports received, 916 have concluded with no charges warranted.
