Newfoundland and Labrador Housing is in the process of removing garbage left piled up in the area of Anderson Avenue and Freshwater Road.
Residents and passers-by were alarmed by the mess left near the roadway with some taking to social media to express their disgust.
NLHC says the bulk garbage was illegally left in the neighbourhood, which is serviced by the city’s garbage pick up.
People driving in the area of Cape Spear are disgusted after somebody dumped a big load of trash along the highway. Bags, wooden boxes and cardboard boxes line the road.
The landfill at Robin Hood Bay is closed until further notice but using the woods as a dumpsite is illegal.
