A family of three has been displaced by a fire that gutted their home on the Northern Peninsula on Wednesday night.

A couple and their teenaged son are staying with relatives for now and have been assisted by the Canadian Red Cross with emergency purchases like clothing and food while they await additional help through insurance.

There were no injuries.
