Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are having some fun on social media with new public health regulations allowing people to “double bubble.”
As of yesterday, residents can choose to interact with one other household, but must stick to that one household and not expand beyond that.

That’s led to heart-warming reunions with grandparents, some of which have been posted to social media.
However, it’s also led to jokes about finding out who’s the favourite based on the double bubble.
At least one family member may be learning the hard way. Elizabeth Haggie, the daughter of Health Minister John Haggie, took to Twitter to indicate that she’s reached out to her dad to double bubble, but jokes she hasn’t heard back.
Asked my dad who he was going to “double bubble” with… he didn’t write me back #imfine #growinguphaggie

Happy reunions over here. @LorneRostotski had never gone this long without hugging his granddaughters. He listened to every single rule along the way (even when I made him wash up before he got his hugs). My heart is full. @Norm_Vincent pic.twitter.com/FxDKkifJv9
