The Chief Medical Officer of Health is asking residents to interact with those only in their bubble, even if social distancing is possible.
This includes gatherings such as backyard fires or camping excursions, including RV trips, as they’re communal in nature and could result in interactions with others who have an unknown amount of contact with others.
Dr. Fitzgerald says her concern lies in the feasibility of such gatherings maintaining social distance; although they may begin with safe practices in place, it might not be how they end up.
She says the intention of allowing up to 10 people to gather hinges on the ability to ensure social distancing could be maintained in more organized situations like funerals or even weddings.
