Some 85 people who work at the Health Sciences Centre are in self-isolation and undergoing COVID-19 testing after being identified as contacts of a patient who tested positive for the virus.

Eastern Health says staff who had been in contact with the patient have been instructed to self-isolate and swabbing has begun.

Officials from Infection Prevention and Control, Public Health and Occupational Health and Safety are working together to complete contact tracing with anyone who may have been in contact with that patient.
