The Labrador Friendship Centre is getting some financial assistance for its ClothMasks4Labrador project.

The International Grenfell Association has donated $25,000 to support the project’s goal of producing and distributing 30,000 cloth masks for every community in Labrador.

The volunteer organizer for ClothMasks4Labrador, Cathy Jong says the project was created in response to a community need for masks.

Materials are shipped to volunteer sewers across Labrador and then the finished product is redistributed to places in need.
