Discipline will be more important than ever before as some public health restrictions are lifted in the coming days.
That was the message of Dr. Janice Fitzgerald, the province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health during today’s daily COVID-19 update.
There are no new cases of the virus in the province again today. The last new positive case, a single person in the Eastern Health region, was reported on Friday.

There have been a total of 259 cases in the province to-date, 233 of which have recovered.
There have been only three new cases in the province in more than two weeks.
That means that some restrictions will likely be lifted come Monday, May 11th as the province moves to Alert Level 4.
Dr. Fitzgerald says discipline will be especially important moving forward.
That means social distancing outside your “double bubble,” limiting trips to the store to once a week, covering your coughs and sneezes and washing your hands frequently.
