The province will be entering Alert Level Four this Monday.
The public health measures being lifted will come into effect at 12:01 a.m. Monday morning.
Premier Dwight Ball says once they’ve received the green light from public health officials, the reduction in alert levels will proceed as planned.
Government has provided more information on just how travel on provincial ferries will look come Monday with the easing of restrictions. Travel will be extended beyond essential, but government is urging people to travel as infrequently as possible.
All passengers will still remain in their vehicles during crossings, and loads will continue to be limited to 50 per cent of the vessel’s regular capacity. Passengers without vehicles will not be permitted to travel in passenger lounges when physical distancing is not possible.
Passengers are also urged to wear non-medical masks or face coverings whenever possible.
