One of the candidates for the Liberal leadership is in hot water with the party’s election committee.

John Abbott wants the party to delay the resumption of the race, which has been suspended due to the pandemic. He issued a news release to that effect.

The party has issued a written reprimand to Abbott for breaking the media blackout imposed on him and the other contender, Andrew Furey.

Meanwhile, the party will meet again on May 25 to discussion the status of the leadership.
