Three people from the Clarenville area are facing a list of drug trafficking charges as the result of a five-month investigation in the town.
On Sunday, May 10, police searched homes on Old Mill Road and Gilbert Avenue in Clarenville, seizing a number of items from within.
Among the items seized were 15 grams of cocaine, several hundred prescription pills (including morphine, buprenorphine, and clonazepam), about $3,500 in cash believed to be from the sale of drugs, electronic devices, improperly-stored ammo, and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Three people were taken into custody on charges ranging from trafficking in a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of the proceeds of crime.
All three were released from custody to appear in Clarenville Provincial Court on August 20, 2020.
