Memorial University will not be resuming in-person, on-campus courses before January 2021.
That means MUN students will be completing courses online during the fall semester.
Dr. Mark Abrahams, vice-president academic, says the two main priorities are that returning students successfully work through their programs and have the best start to their academic experience at the university.
He says the decisions were made based on guidance from public health officials but are subject to change.
Limited reopening of on-campus activity in the fall may occur in a gradual manner.
Faculties may submit a proposal for review to allow students on campus during the fall semester.
The Faculties of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Marine Institute will be releasing details on their return to classes soon.
