A woman in Shoal Harbour Clarenville is blown away by the support in her community after she took to Facebook looking for a food that has been temporarily discontinued due to COVID-19.
Kraft Dinner Spirals are Connie Frye’s son’s favourite food and one of the only foods he will eat. Marcus has autism and was diagnosed with epilepsy last year.
Frye went to several grocery stores with no luck and found out that Kraft had stopped production of Spirals until after the pandemic.
She says with the help of the Autism society, they have enough spirals for months to come so donations are no longer being accepted.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Frye says Marcus’s anxiety has gone up but people’s shares on social media have made him feel more connected.
