Lieutenant Governor Judy Foote is offering her condolences to family and friends of three fishermen who lost their lives in a tragedy off the coast of St. Lawrence yesterday.

Foote says hearts are breaking in St. Lawrence, and across the province as the bodies of the three fishermen were recovered from the water, while the search continues for the fourth crew member.

She says tragedies are not uncommon in the province, but when they occur Newfoundlanders and Labradorians come together to offer support.

Foote is thanking the Canadian Coast Guard, the rescue Hercules out of Halifax and the Cormorant helicopter for their ongoing search.
