Some city services in St. John’s have opened up with the province’s transition to Alert Level Two.
St. John’s City Council will resume in-person meetings in the council chambers on Monday, July 6, but media and the public will still access the meetings through the city’s website.
Effective immediately, all skate parks, basketball courts, hard-surface courts, and the Bowring Park Duck Pond are open.
More facilities will be opening tomorrow, Saturday, June 27, including:
- Bowring Park
- Victoria Park
- Bannerman Park
- Paul Reynolds Community Centre
- Southlands Community Centre
- Kenmount Terrace Community Centre
- Goulds Recreation Complex
The city says all playgrounds will be cleaned as frequently as possible.
Outdoor pools, splash pads, and recreation facilities will remain closed.
