The second ballot of the 2020 Canadian Country Music Association Awards program opened Thursday and Stingray stations in Newfoundland and Labrador have moved on in two categories.
CHVO-FM, better known as “KIXX Country,” has been recognized in the Radio Station of the Year (Medium or Small Market) category and Mike Thomas (“Mickey T”) has moved on in the Music Director of the Year category.
The second ballot is open to eligible voting members of the CCMA and closes Thursday, July 16.
Originally scheduled to take place in Hamilton starting September 10, the 2020 Canadian Country Music Awards are going digital and will instead be broadcast from Nashville, Tennessee and rural Ontario on September 27 and will honour and showcase the biggest names in Canadian country music.
