It’s back on the water today to catch a cod for the table. The recreational cod fishery, which will be open for a total of 39 days, begins today.

There is no requirement for licenses or tags, and the fishery will be open to both residents and non-residents.

The summer season, which allows fishing only on weekends, runs through to Labour Day Weekend.
