Waters around the province have been teeming with whales in recent days.
Humpback whales have been putting on a show in St. Vincent’s for about a week and as the capelin rolls towards St. John’s, the whales follow.

Local whale tour companies such as Gatherall’s Puffin Whale Watch and O’Brien’s Whale and Bird Tours say they have seen success with sightings since they opened for the season on Canada Day.

The groups, who have merged for the season, say they have spotted humpback whales along with dolphins and puffins.
