Police have given more detail on the apprehension of a man from Newfoundland wanted for violating a long-term supervision order in Ontario.
RCMP officers surrounded a house in Stephenville Crossing at about 3:00 a.m. this morning and negotiated with 44-year-old Matthew Francis O’Quinn for about 45 minutes.
He surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody without incident.
RCMP say tips from the public helped them locate the wanted man.

Matthew Francis O’Quinn failed to comply with a condition of a long-term supervision order on Thursday, July 9.
Police say he was arrested without incident this morning at a residence in Stephenville Crossing.
