The business community in Labrador is urging Air Canada to reconsider its decision to pull its connections to Wabush.
The airline pulled 30 routes across the country a few weeks ago, including connections between Wabush and Goose Bay, Deer Lake, Gander and St. John’s. Air Canada also closed its Wabush Station.
Chambers of Commerce in the north and the west say the service reduction will result in a slower economic rebound and cause financial hardships for both businesses and residents.
They also see problems for employers with recruitment and retention.
PAL is the only regular commercial passenger service flying in and out of Labrador West.
