The local judicial community is mourning the loss of a sitting Justice of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Justice David F. Hurley is being described as well-respected, having started his career as a lawyer in St. John’s before his appointment to the bench in 2013.
Justice Hurley sat in Corner Brook before moving to the General Division in St. John’s in December of 2016.
He passed away Wednesday morning.
He is being remembered for his work ethic, keen legal mind and quick wit and sense of humour.
