Eastern Health says it is rescheduling self-referred mammogram appointments previously cancelled due to COVID-19.

Some women have indicated they had to follow-up themselves to get their appointments rescheduled, but Eastern Health says many women who had their appointments cancelled during the pandemic have already had their appointments rebooked.

The breast screening program is contacting women regarding cancelled appointments, according to the health authority.

The breast screening program offers mammograms in St. John’s, Gander and Corner Brook to women between the ages of 50 and 74.
